Adam F. Small
Adam F. Small is a founding partner of BSM CPAs. Mr. Small began practicing accounting in May 1999 after graduating from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Mr. Small earned a Masters of Accounting degree from Nova Southeastern University Graduate School of Business. Mr. Small is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida.
His expertise and special interests include Business planning, Tax planning and Business Advisory services to mid to large companies ranging from 1 million to 500 million dollars in revenue per year. He also specializes in closely held businesses and their owners as well as real estate and foreign taxations.
Mr. Small has expertise in the M&A arena working closely with banks, Investment Bankers, and Private Equity groups. In 2012, Mr. Small successfully assisted his client, CPS Products, Inc in closing a sale to Harbour Group, http://www.farlieturner.com/news-page.cfm?a=17 This project spanned over a year with daily responsibilities.
Judd McGee
Judd McGee is a founding partner of BSM CPAs. He began practicing accounting in August 2000 after graduating from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Mr. McGee subsequently earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. Mr. McGee is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida.
His extensive experience includes advising closely held businesses on tax issues; providing tax advisory services to high net worth individuals living in the US and overseas; and consulting with domestic companies on cross border transactions.
Mr. McGee also has extensive experience helping individuals navigate the IRS’ Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Programs.
Joe Barnes
Mr. Barnes has been a CPA for more than 45 years. A graduate of The College of William and Mary, Mr. Barnes was associated with PricewaterhouseCoopers for eight years in Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is a founding partner of BSM CPAs. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Florida and Virginia.
He is a past chapter president of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and served on the Board of Governors of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also served as a Federal Congressional Key Person Coordinator for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and for 15 years as Campaign Treasurer for a South Florida congressman.
Mr. Barnes' special interests include tax services for closely held businesses, estate planning, international taxation, real estate taxation, tax planning for foreign investors in the U.S., franchises, private charitable foundations, the construction industry, import-export businesses, e-commerce, retail businesses, manufacturing and the broadcasting industry. He also specializes in corporate acquisitions and liquidations of closely held businesses. In addition to tax services he has many years of audit experience in these industries.
